The Orc’s Head operates The Virtual Art Gallery. This notice explains the information we collect, why we use it and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
We collect update-registration details, artist account identity supplied through ChatGPT sign-in, artist profiles, statements, experience, uploaded artwork metadata, process and availability information, enquiries, reports, reactions, favourites and follows. Essential technical security records may include a one-way fingerprint derived from an internet address.
Why we use it
We use account and content information to provide artist galleries, attribute uploads, maintain community features, respond to enquiries, moderate the service and protect it from misuse. We use marketing details only where you have actively agreed to receive gallery updates.
Legal bases
Depending on the activity, our basis is consent, performance of the service you request, compliance with legal obligations, or our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the gallery. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time.
Who receives information
Published artist profiles and artwork are visible publicly. Service providers that host the site, store images, authenticate accounts or deliver email may process limited information for us. We do not sell personal information or give marketing lists to third parties.
Retention
Artist content remains while the account is active or as needed to resolve moderation, copyright or legal issues. Enquiries and reports are retained only as long as reasonably necessary. When someone unsubscribes, we may retain a minimal suppression record to prevent accidental future marketing.
Your choices and rights
You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection where applicable. You may withdraw marketing consent using an unsubscribe link. Contact us through the contact page. You may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses only technology needed for sign-in, security and core operation. Device-local storage may remember interface preferences. We do not currently use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.
Children
The artist-upload service is intended for people aged 18 or over. A parent or guardian should contact us before a younger artist’s work is submitted.
